The best HP game so far.
The whole hogwarts campus is open, no waiting for an area to load. The music and castle are beautiful. The tasks can be a little tedious, but you get through them. The only negative about it is that it's somewhat boring defeating voldemort (sp?) overall wonderful, easy-to-follow game!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for Wii
This game is fun and challenging. I am not a big gamer in fact the Wii is the first game system I have ever bought, because it is more interactive. I love the way it plays over other systems. Harry Potter is a fun game to play and I have gotten stuck and had to ask someone how to get out of it, but that makes it more fun because it is not too easy like some of the other games I have played on it.

Not what I expected, but still fun!
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so I thought the this game would be fun! When I had finally finished the instructions, which were long and detailed, I thought I'd be prepared for playing the game. I was very confused at times by which tasks to do first, and how to remember all the spell motions. It's more complicated than fun, sorry to say.

Fun game for hard core Harry Potter fans.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a very enjoyable.

Pros: You get to play as characters such as Dumbledore, Sirius, Harry and fight characters such as Voldemort, Belatrix, and Malfoy. The storyline follows the book very well and you can visit places such as Hogwarts, Number 12 Grimmuald Place, The Ministry of Magic, and Number 4 Private Drive.

Cons: You have to wander around Howarts alot and it can get boring.

Overall, if you don't mind exploring Hogwarts it is a fun game.

Not user friendly!
I bought this for my 10 year old grandson who plays a lot on the WII and is a Harry Potter fan.....He was easily distracted and changed to something else rather quickly. This may be OK for an older player but I tried it and didn't like it either!

Excellent RPG, sloppy controls
Being absolutley thrilled that I felt like I finally bought the Wii for something other than my kids playing wii sports, I ran to the local game crazy the day Dragon Quest Swords came out. I was not disapointed. I am a die hard RPG fan of the old school persuasion (FF VI and DQVII are my favs)and found this game very entertaining. All of the usual DQ themes and characters are there and the european dialects are abundant as well. The story is good and the graphics are very clean. There are plenty of equipment options and a few mini games and of course there are secret dungeons. Now the cons : The sword is really irritating even after you get used to it. It slashes diagonally when you slash side to side etc.It is a short game, but no shorter than Final Fantasy III for the DS.You can only use one other character other than yorself at a time but you get used to that after a little bit and it is actually ok. I guess I'd give this a 4 1/2 stars but the controller issue is so frustrating that I have to give it a 4. Overall this is a fun game and if you are a fan of the series it is a must have. I hope that square will keep trying this !

It was worth it.
PROS: Great game overall. Unique game play and easy to play.

CONS: Too short. Just like any other Square-Enix game, some grinding will be required in order to acquire more powerful items.

Not bad, but the the control issues take it down
Like most good Wii games, "it's a good game, but..." At the new clearance price, the game is a good buy for some sword swinging fun. Don't expect an RPG. It's like a lightgun game with slashing instead of shooting. If you can forgive the less than accurate controls, you'll like this game. It's not too long, but for my off and on wii play, it's just right.

The bad:
-The controls in the town are ridiculous. Where in the world are my nunchuk controls? Use left and right on the wiimote to turn (rotate) left and right and use forward and back to move forward and back. What where they thinking? Why didn't this change in the US version? These controls, the large movement area to cover in the town, and the slight load between sections of town make the game seem amateurish. It also makes me dread my time in the town.
-The wiimote sword swinging controls just aren't good enough. They expect a robot to swinging the remote. People don't move in perfect movement. We tend to twist. Our hands bounce a little bit when we stop. Any deviation from a perfect movement and it comes out wrong. It's also hard to stab.

The good:
-It's entertaining
-It's humorous
-it looks good
-even with the bad controls, it's completely playable
-the story isn't bad
-voices in the main cutscenes

DQS is a great pick-up and play RPG
I think this game stands up really well as an introduction the the "Japanese RPG" genre of console games. It utilizes the Wii-mote very effectively game play is solid and fun. The visuals are bright and beautiful and the voice acting the best I've heard in a Japanese-to-English port. The story is a fun and typical entry in the genre and works well. I am a "casual" gamer ... with little more than a few hours at a time to commit to playing the game and I found the length to be satisfactory. I find nothing to complain about in the game and enjoyed playing it immensely. Bonus, as the interface is so very simple, my 3 year old daughter was able to play through an entire "dungeon level" with very little assistance from me. She was so excited to be able to play "daddy's" game. I was pretty proud of that myself. I am a fan of old school RPGs and give this a strong recommendation.

Yuck.
So we bought this game because we played the prior Dragon Quest VIII -- and loved it! We couldn't stop playing it until we finally beat it.

I pre-ordered this game, convinced that it would be just as awesome and consuming on the Wii.

However, I wish I had waited and rented it. We loved Dragon Quest VIII because of the unlimited freedom to explore. This game's rail system ends all of that. Oh, you can turn left or right every so often when exploring an area, but you still have to go back to the intersection and take the correct path. The swordplay feature is ok, although not very accurate. Loading between areas is also time-consuming, even in areas of the one town where you play.

For an RPG, this game is terribly confining. If you want a good RPG for the Wii, I would highly recommend Zelda. I know I'll be trading this game in as soon as possible.

Great fun for the whole family!
Purchased for my daughter, found that the game is great fun for all of us. Especially fun with a second wheel so you can "team race"

Good price!
The item itself is fairly simple, and hard to complain about. Some people prefer MK Wii without the wheel, but this is easy to determine by playing with the wheel included with the game.

If you're buying this extra wheel, I assume you already know what you're in for. You snap in the Wii remote, and... that's about it. It works just fine and as you'd expect.

Really the bonus here is the price, which is lower than you'll find it in most stores.

Much better than the off brand wheels we got
The official wii wheel has that nice window so that you do not have to take the controller out to point at things, the other wheels we have you need to take out the darn controller to point select.

It's Suitable For Mario Kart
This wheel is good because when you use it, you feel like you are really driving a car.
But it doesn't help a lot for playing the game.

The Wii Fit Balance Board
The primary tenet of Wii Fit is balance. Your center of balance, the point between your left and right sides when you stand upright, has a lot to do with your health. Those without an even center of balance will be unnaturally compensating for this imbalance, which causes their posture to become misaligned, increasing the possibility of putting unnecessary strain on their bodies. This is where the Wii Balance Board comes in.

Similar in appearance to a step aerobics board, the Wii Balance Board is much, much more. Easily capable of supporting weights up to a maximum of 300 pounds, it is sturdy and precise, able to measure weight and register pressure accurately when placed on a variety of flat surfaces. This advanced level of sensitivity allows for both the wide range of activities found in the Wii Fit software as well as the board's amazing ability recognize individual players by their weight alone.

Getting Started: Create a Profile
Before you jump into doing exercises and activities, you’ll start by creating a profile. This is done easily and intuitively by simply choosing a Mii, entering your height and age information, and doing a few quick tests that will serve as a baseline for your new Wii fitness regimen. These tests are:

  • BMI Check: BMI, or Body Mass Index, is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that is the standard used by agencies such as the World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health. To check your BMI, you’ll enter your height then stand on the Wii Balance Board and let it read your weight.
  • Wii Fit Age: After you’ve checked your BMI, you’ll do a basic balance test and find out your current Wii Fit Age. This basic balance test measures how well you can control your left and right balance. Based on the results, you’ll be assigned a Wii Fit Age.

Four Categories of Fun
Once you have created your profile it's time to have some fun. Wii Fit features four main categories of exercises to choose from: Strength Training, Aerobics, Yoga and Balance Games. Wii Fit will guide you through the first three with the help of your own virtual personal trainer, while the balance games offer variety and fun to help keep you engaged and excited about your fitness goals. In addition, as you spend time exercising, you’ll earn Fit Credits that unlock additional exercises and activities within your favorite categories that will allow you to continue to push yourself. See more detail on the four categories below:

  • Strength Training: Put your strength to the test with muscle-toning exercises like Single Leg Extension, Sideways Leg Lift, Arm and Leg Lift, Single-Arm Stand, Torso Twists, Rowing Squat, Single Leg Twist, Lunge, Push-Up and Side Plank, Jackknife, Plank and Tricep Extension. Challenges include Push-Up Challenge, Plank Challenge and Jackknife Challenge.
  • Aerobics: Get your heart pumping with fun, interactive Aerobic exercises like Hula Hoop, Basic Step, Basic Run, Super Hula Hoop, Advanced Step, 2-P Run, Rhythm Boxing, Free Step and Free Run.
  • Yoga: Work on your balance and flexibility with Yoga poses and activities like Deep Breathing, Half-Moon, Dance, Cobra, Bridge, Spinal Twist, Shoulder Stand, Warrior, Tree, Sun Salutation, Standing Knee, Palm Tree, Chair, Triangle and Downward-Facing Dog.
  • Balance Games: Get into the action with fun, balanced-based games like Soccer Heading, Ski Slalom, Ski Jump, Table Tilt, Tightrope Walk, Balance Bubble, Penguin Slide, Snowboard Slalom and Lotus Focus.

Keep Track of Your Progress
Because keeping fit is an ongoing process, Wii Fit also tracks the activities you do the most and puts them into your Favorites category. With this information players can note exercises and activities that they are strong in, as well as others that may need to improve at. Some of the ways players can use this information for are to:

  • Keep tabs on your daily progress with easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Using your personal profile, you can set goals, view a graph of your BMI results over time, see how many Fit Credits you’ve earned, check your Wii Fit Age and even enter exercise time you’ve done outside of Wii Fit. It’s all about coming back and exercising a little every day, and the personal profile makes tracking your daily progress simple and easy.
  • Quickly check your Wii Fit Age and BMI without even putting the game in the console by going directly to the Wii Fit Channel.
  • Allow up to eight family members can create their own profiles in Wii Fit. On the profile-selection screen, everyone in the family can see each other’s recent BMI progress and Fit Credit total. This will allow families to have a friendly competition to exercise and get fit.
Variety, fun and progress tracking; Wii Fit has it all. So, Wii owners if you ready to reclaim your balance and get fit all you need is Wii Fit, a few minutes a day to play and the urge to have fun. Get on board today.

Gets you of the couch
It is not the perfect replacement for a gym but it gets you off the couch and will make you break a sweat while having fun. So for that I think it is worth every penny!!

fantastic machine fantastic game fantastic workout for gamers or lazy folk
I just got my Wii Fit 2 days ago and already noticed a diffrence. I woke up sore from just 30 minutes of jogging and doing some of the balancing games. Acording to the wii fit board im a total lardo but It made me sweat and gave me(someone who hasnt worked out in years) an awesome workout, so ill forgive the wii fit for insulting my feelings. Highly recomend this to any novice or person who wants to get back in shape. This is basically a trainer to get you moving into a healthier direction. Fantastic!!!!

A great, inexpensive way to stay in shape!
This is an excellant product for toning muscles, working on balance issues, and loosing weight! I previously had been using an elliptical machine and Total Gym. The elliptical machine was good for cardio but it did not tone my muscles. The Total Gym is a great exercise machine as well, but that does not cover every part either. Not only that it cost more and takes up space! The Wii Fit tones about every muscle. You have to do all the routines and at the maximum you've unlocked or it will not be beneficial. You have to apply yourself!!!! It's not something you just stand on and move around a little and expect it to give you this great looking body. As silly as you may think some of it looks, if you actually do it and try to do it right, it's beneficial. The other thing is you have to continue to do the exercises in order to unlock more routines or earn a more challenging version. It does give you certain routines to do together to target an area. I like that it calculates your work out time and keeps a chart of your progress. I have noticed a big difference in my body. The menus and tips do get to be annoying but I've become accustom to hitting the A button I don't even listen to it any more. I can also travel through the menus pretty quick to get to the routines I want. I leave the remote on a table within arms reach so I don't have to hold it all the time. The only down side is like some people remarked and it would be nice to be able to have a preset routine and it would automatically go through it. Nothing is ever prefect so I would never drop a star for that. It's a great exercise machine and shouldn't be confused with being a "toy". I would say this is MAY NOT be enjoyable for kids unless they need to exercise or have other balance issues. The only extras needed is a yoga mat. I would buy another in a heart beat!!!!

This is my absolute favorite game!
I'm hooked on Wii Fit! This is my favorite game, I use it every day.

Love it!!!!!
This is a great workout motivator! I would recommend this to anyone! If you don't have one, then you need one!!!

Wii console
I bought this console 6 days ago and I am really exited about it, along with two games to start playing with it, I already know system configurations and how this console works overall, I will focus my review on only the limitations I could notice so far:

*Channel switching: If you are reviewing games on the Wii Shop channel, you probably want to see a video review of the games you are interested in, you will have to go back to Home Menu and enter the Nintendo Channel (which is free for download). So switching back and forth from channels is slow, and you can't have more than one channel open (the one you are in). Including Wii games (which it is a channel itself) you can't suspend your games to quick check the weather update (for example), only games you can do that is on NES games which is obvious as it is the only way to save your progress.

*Wii Shop channel and Everybody's votes channel availability): If you live in a country currently not supported for these channels, prepare yourself for major disappointment. Even wii points card are for sell in my country, I must set the Wii in USA in order to enjoy all benefits of wii shop.

*Wi-Fi reach: I find this console to have a short range of wireless reception signal, my laptop is very close to where I have the console right now and it gets the wireless-g signal from my wireless router upstairs very good, I get a lot of connection problems with my Wii, sadly I can't help it because I can't move the TV from its current location, only solution is to move the router closer to the Wii, which I will try anytime soon.

Other than that, I am really exited about my shop and plan to buy more games and more controls as I become able to afford it.

Fun console but limited appeal to serious gamers
I consider myself a semi-hardcore gamer and own all the major consoles and play PC games as well. I bought a Wii soon after it came out but to be honest, although it's got some fun games (and my two-year-old loves the crude GT Pro game), overall it has limited appeal to serious gamers. If you go nuts over "cute" titles like Wii Fit and Mario, you won't be disappointed by the Wii. I use it occasionally, because I find the games not cool enough for 2008. (No, I'm not selling mine...)

the best game console ever
I think this is the best game console ever. I have had others in the past but none measure up to the Wii. The controls are easy to use and the games are alot of fun. It is one of the few game consoles that does not turn players into couch potatoes. :)

This is a great thing for kids to play with
Whoever wants to have some family fun should but a wii me and my 4 children love it. Here are a few games we enjoy and or love Mario Cart, Guitar Hero, and Super Mario Gaxley.

A great console for young and old.
The Wii is a very innovative and unique console. It's great for any age. I highly recommend it for anyone who owns a television.

For an RPG, this game is terribly confining. If you want a good RPG for the Wii, I would highly recommend Zelda. I know I'll be trading this game in as soon as possible.
